Who I Am

From Dipperz, for Dipperz.

“In that moment, I understood: Dipperz isn't just where we live. Dipperz is our home.”

The year after we moved here, the sawmill burned down. Within no time, neighbours, clubs, the fire brigade, and many volunteers pulled together. In that moment, it became clear to me: Dipperz is more than just where I live — this is a place where people show up for one another. That feeling has shaped me over the years, and sparked the wish to one day take on responsibility for our community myself.

I'm Daniela Bergmann, 45 years old, and I've lived in Dipperz for over twelve years with my husband Uwe and our two daughters.

After finishing school at the Winfriedschule Fulda, I trained as an IT systems management assistant and then studied Business Information Systems in Nuremberg. After my studies, I worked first in software consulting, then in IT at Geis Logistik. For many years now I've worked at EDAG Production Solutions, where I lead a team and manage digitalisation projects for public-sector clients and operators of critical infrastructure.

In my job, every day is about taking responsibility, bringing people with different interests together, and developing solutions collaboratively. These are exactly the skills I want to bring to Dipperz.

But just as important to me is community. For many years I served as a parents' representative at nursery and school, was chair of the primary school's parents' council, and for years I've volunteered on the board of SFD Schwimmsport Fulda e. V.

When I'm not working or volunteering, you'll often find me in the water myself. I love swimming, play the piano now and then, and in my free time I enjoy designing CAD models for 3D printing and laser engraving. I like coming up with new ideas and then putting them into practice.

I'm running because I want to take responsibility for the community that has become home to my family and me.

My Priorities and Vision

For every district. For every generation.

I want to be Mayor for the whole community — for every district, every generation, and across political lines. In concrete terms, that means:

Community & Volunteering

What makes Dipperz special is its people.

Our clubs, the fire brigade, the parishes, and countless volunteers keep Dipperz alive. I want to preserve this sense of community and actively strengthen it.

Here's what I'll work for:

Regular dialogue between the municipality and local clubs
Fast, unbureaucratic support for local events
Room for joint projects and activities across clubs
Real appreciation for volunteer work – Dipperz wouldn't be what it is today without it

An Economy with a Future

A strong community needs good jobs and reliable local services.

With the Am Holzbach care centre, an important employer with numerous new jobs is being created in Dipperz. This is a great opportunity – not just for care services, but also for local restaurants, retail, and other services.

What matters to me:

Create good conditions for businesses and local trades
Develop the commercial area sensibly
Secure local services for the long term
Keep local public transport on the agenda
Responsibly seize the opportunities of the energy transition – for example through the substation – while safeguarding residents' interests

Room for Families & Young People

Dipperz should remain a place where families love to live.

Families need reliability – in childcare just as much as in housing.

That's why I want to:

Secure enough childcare places
Promote family-friendly housing
Further develop affordable rental housing
Support appealing leisure and meeting spaces for children and young people

Strengthening Agriculture

Agriculture is part of who Dipperz is.

Many farms – both full-time and part-time – shape our landscape and our districts. They provide regional food and make an important contribution to preserving our cultural landscape.

My goal is to:

Treat agriculture as an important partner of the municipality
Support regional products and direct marketing
Seek early dialogue with farms during planning processes
Think of agriculture, nature, and development together

Reviving the Village Centre & Local Hospitality

A lively village centre creates encounters.

The planned “Platz der Begegnung” (meeting square) on Fuldaer Straße is a chance to create a place where people come together – for events, clubs, and everyday community life. The project is supported by LEADER funding and is meant to revitalise the village centre for the long term.

I want to:

Strengthen the village centre as a meeting point for every generation
Support local restaurants and businesses
Promote events that bring life to our village centre
Create public spaces people genuinely enjoy spending time in

Digitalisation & Security

Modern administration means more time for people.

For me, digitalisation isn't an end in itself. It should shorten processes, simplify procedures, and improve citizen services – without replacing personal contact.

Here's what I'll work for:

Expand digital services at the town hall
Make administrative processes simpler and more transparent
Review family-friendly opening hours for the town hall and municipal depot
Establish cybersecurity as a core part of modern administration
Expand and strengthen civil protection and disaster preparedness together with the fire brigade and relief organisations
